Directions
(I) Taiwan Taoyuan Airport (TPE) to Taipei city
a. By taxi (to Academia Sinica, approximately NT$1000~$1200).
b. Bus to Taipei Railway Station (50 min, $125)
c. Shuttle bus to Taoyuan Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail (5 min, $30), then high speed train to Taipei Railway Station (20 min, $160)
d. Bus to Taipei Songshan Domestic Airport (50 min, $125)
*The Taipei Stations of Taiwan High Speed Rail, Taiwan Railway, and Taipei Metro are in the same building.
(II) Taipei Railway Station to Academia Sinica (AS), Nankang, Taipei
a. Metro (Blue Line) to Kunyang or Nankang station (15/17 min, $25/$30), then Bus (Routes 212, 270, BL25) to AS (10 min, $15)
b. Bus (Routes 212, 205, 306) to AS (40~50 min, $30.)
(III) Taipei city to National Dong Hwa University (NDHU)
a. By Rail (recommended)
Taipei or Songshan (closer to AS) Railway Station to Hualien Railway Station (TC-Taroko Limited Express: 2 hours; TC Limit Express: below 3 hours; One-way: $441(started Taipei )/427(Songshan), roundtrip: $794/770), then taxi to NDHU ($350~$500).
b. By Air
Songshan Domestic Airport (20~30 min from AS by taxi) to Hualien Airport (35 min in the air + extra time for check-in and for taxiing. One-way: $1455), then taxi to NDHU ($350~$500)

Note : Train ticket booking will be opened 2 weeks before the date. Booking for domestic flights in June has been opened at this moment. It may not be convenient to do ticketing outside Taiwan .
