The 9th Workshop on First-Principles Computational Materials Physics, organized by the Focus Group on Computational Material Research (CMRFG), will be held on July 1-3, 2009 in the Conference Hall of The Grand Hotel locating beside Cheng Ching Lake ( 澄清湖 ), Kaohsiung . The aim of this workshop is to promote interactions and collaborations among local physicists whose researches involve employing the first-principles electronic calculations. The Program Committee would also like to take this opportunity to identify the community members' interests and concerns in order to plan fruitful and successful activities in the future. Similar to the previous years, all participants including PhD students and young postdoctors , are encouraged to share their latest research results with participants in this workshop. The 20~30-minute research reports by faculty members and 15-minute talks by postdoctors or Ph. D. students will be scheduled in the program with inclusion of three to four invited talks on notable subjects.
