The 4th Winter School on Quantum Information Science will be held from February 11-14, 2009 on the Lanyang Campus of Tamkang University . The goals of the Winter School are to bring the young researchers up-to-speed and fundamental physics about the new developments and related topics in the field of quantum information science and technology (QIST), and to promote and strengthen the interactions and exchange of knowledge among local and international researchers.
We have invited five international experts in this rapidly growing field of quantum computing and quantum information to be the school lecturers. The school lectures will cover solid-state (superconducting Josephsen junction and quantum dot) quantum information processing and quantum entanglement theory.
We hope that the school will serve the purpose to interest and attract students and young scientists to work in this critical and exciting field, one of the visions we intend to achieve.
