Introduction
Nanoscience and nanotechnology have been the focus of science and
technology in the twenty first century and they provide many
promising opportunities of new important findings of fundamental and
technological interests. With this workshop, we wish to share our
understanding of the fundamental physical properties of the low
dimensional systems and nanostructures based on our experimental and
theoretical investigations.
We also wish to seek opportunities of collaboration
between experimentalists and theorists and between theorists to
promote domestic researches in nanoscience and nanotechnology.
This workshop will include carbon based nanomaterials,
molecular electronics, bio systems, semiconductor nanowires/nanorods,
metallic clusters on metal surfaces, theoretical methodology,
nanoscale ferroelectric films, etc. However, all our colleagues, who
wish to participate and contribute a talk, are welcome and
they can contact Prof. Min-Hsiung Tsai of National Sun Yat-Sen
University (e-mail: tsai@mail.phys.nsysu.edu.tw; phone: (07) 525
3729).
