8th Particle Physics Phenomenology Workshop (PPP8)

The 8th particle physics phenomenology workshop (PPP8) will take place from 20 May 2009 to 23 May 2009 at National Cheng-Kung University (NCKU), Tainan . The workshop will be held at the lecture Hall of Zenda Suites, located at the Sheng-Li Campus. PPP8 consists of lectures, reviews and short talks. We sincerely invite you to attend PPP8. Speakers are by invitation only. In order to apply financial support from NCKU, the invited speakers should upload the titles and abstracts of their talks through the page of Abstract Upload . Important dates and deadlines include:

 

20 February 2009 : registration opens.

27 March 2009 : deadline for submitting titles and abstracts

03 May 2009 : registration deadline

 

We encourage you to select one of the 5 hotels shown in the accommodations of the website, especially the Zenda Suites. If you would like to reserve your room in other hotels which are not listed in the website, you have to reserve them by yourself.

 

Due to the limited budget, we only provide local expenses to oversea participants who do not get supports from the universities or institutes in Taiwan . For local participants, if graduate students and postdocs cannot get supports from their groups, their accommodations shared with roommates in our guesthouse of Ying-Bin Yuan may be provided after reviewed by the committee.

 

 Visa information for foreigners can be found at http://www.boca.gov.tw/mp.asp. During the PPP8, we will provide free lunch boxes and serve snacks and drinks at breaks. A free wireless connection inside the lecture hall is available. The password will be offered during the workshop. In addition, reception and free banquet will take place in the evening of 20 May and 22 May, respectively.
