TITLE | Same questions - more knowledge: self-testing a tensor product of entangled states |

ABSTRACT | Self-testing is a procedure which allows to certify presence of a certain quantum entangled state in a completely device-independent manner. In many cases maximal violation of a Bell inequality allows to isolate the state leading to this violation. Sometimes one can self-test a n-fold tensor product of a quantum state through the procedure of parallel self-testing. The process standardly involves increased amount of classical communication: the number of classical inputs of the self-test increases with the number of states one wants to self-test. We develop the first self-testing which allows to self-test an arbitrary number of quantum states shared by two parties with minimal amount of classical inputs. Such self-testing protocols are natural candidates for unbounded randomness expansion: in the extreme case one bit of local randomness can be expanded into an arbitrarily long sequence of random bits. |
