Introduction ：

Geometry is a big branch of study in mathematics. It consists of many important areas and subjects. During the year, we continue our research in algebraic geometry, dynamical systems, symplectic and contact geometry. Joint seminars and workshops are planned to promote research collaboration.

 

Research topics in progress (NCTS South) ：

•  Geometric Analysis and Related Topics: Nonlinear parabolic PDEs, soliton surfaces, geometric evolution equations on pseudohermitian (2n+1)-manifolds, Cartan flow and Yamabe flow on a closed CR 3-manifold with nonzero pseudohermitian torsion and its relation to the contact topology.

•  Symplectic Geometry and Topology: S urgery, isotopy and invariants of Lagrangian surfaces, symplectomorphism and contactomorphism groups, Gromov-Witten theories of certain Hilbert schemes.
